PADI Junior Open Water Course

PADI Junior Open Water Diver Course

The PADI Junior Open Water Diver Course is designed for children over 10 years who want to learn scuba diving and earn their first diving certification. When they reach the age of 15 they will be automatically upgraded to PADI Open Water Divers and can go until 18 meters instead of only 12 meters.
The PADI Junior Open Water course is the first level of PADI scuba diving certifications for children and therefore your first step to become a Junior recreational diver.

During your PADI Junior Open Water Course you will learn how to use basic scuba gear, to breath underwater, to keep buoyancy, what is happening physically to you while diving and about your new environment. The knowledge development will give you an overview of the theoretical part of diving and what you have to consider (E-learning or classroom).

In a confined open water dive you will practise scuba skills to be ready to use them in the open water. During your four open water dives we will take you slowly in steps until 12 meters (39 feet) and build up on your skills from each dive to another in your time and adapted to your needs.

After passing your theoretical and practical exam you are certified as a PADI Junior Open Water Diver. You will be able to dive independently with a certified adult buddy all over the world. Get the world’s most popular scuba certification with your PADI 5 Star IDC Resort DSM Dive Lombok Gili Trawangan.

The theoretical part of your PADI Junior Open Water Course takes place on Lombok or Gili Trawangan in the classrooms of our DSM Dive Shops, depending on whether your hotel is in Lombok or on Gili Trawangan. For the practical part of your PADI Junior Open Water Course we dive around the Gili islands, known for their beginner friendly environment. Departure with the boat to the divesites is at our dive school DSM Dive in Gili Trawangan.
